The Bad:
Looking at the board, I’m in trouble if I want to hit 150 short stories this year. This week I spent most of my energies with work. After doing an in depth time audit this week, I’ve carved out a good chunk of time today and the weeks to come in order to catch up.
The Good:
I published my short story, Hot Blooded, in Pulp, Pipe, & Poetry Magazine this month. You can read it below: A cautionary tale of sex and greed.
I’ve got a few more stories in the pipeline that will be released this month. Overall, I’m excited to keep the challenge alive and the writing fun by sharing my progress. That’s a wrap.
Until next time.

Good job, Frank. Just think of all the practice you're getting Right Now for those coming years when other responsibilities will dwindle away.
Frank, those are great numbers. Those are the numbers that get things done. 500 to 1000 words a day with responsibilities is about all I average 👌 its easy to feel like it's not enough, but done consistently you'll have a steady churn of production. I've found thinking about the bigger goals is typically a mental trap frought with peril. The better goals are did you write every day, and write to the time limit you have and don't even pay attention to wordcounts until you go back a week later to track them.
