A topic close to my heart. There’s definitely the “theatre of the mind” missing from visual mediums. It’s somewhat carried on with podcasting, but most podcasters are not pushing the medium on the way old radio did.
True. From my own research, there seemed to be more variety back then. It truly is a unique medium that is only limited by the creator's imagination. You are free to take more risks in this type of storytelling.
Great memories here. used to listen to Green Hornet, Lone Ranger, X-Minus One and others when we were younger, mostly on cassettes. Very cool to see some things like this come back in the podcast age. Hope the medium continues to grow!
