We are back on track after a few days of feasting, family, and wine. I also had a health scare that lasted about a day and a half with my parents that needed my attention. As always the hardest part is waiting to hear updates from doctors. Thankfully things are looking up at the moment.
I'm not going to bother counting those days, too much chaos. I did manage to write around 880 words today. I looked over some of the words I wrote last week and changed some things around. Sadly, I know where the story is going. I say sadly because I tend to get bored with a story as soon as I know where it is heading. Oh well, we press on. Maybe I'll be surprised?
Lots of twists and turns with this challenge that I did not anticipate, but hey that's life. I'm still here, I'm still writing, and I've learned a ton of new methods to help me reach my goals and keep the sprint alive despite the obstacles. I'll be back tomorrow with another update.
‘Till next time.
Yup, I hate it when they hand me the ending too soon. The best you can do (barring surprises) is race to the end so you can start the next one and feel excited again.
Question:
If you know where the story is going,
and you get bored,
can you then focus on forcing the story in a new direction,
such as introducing a new complication or turning a character around and pointing it in another, possibly opposite direction?
