Remember when i said life can often pull the rug from underneath you with unpredictable setbacks?
Ah hem…
Well today a massive rain storm hit Massachusetts hard, resulting in over 200,000 areas without power, including my neighborhood. Trees came down, taking out power lines and some areas are completely flooded.
Thankfully my family and I are safe.
I did managed to squeeze in 1, 177 new words of fiction despite the chaos. I dusted off my Olympia portabel to bang out the word count my candlelight. Not exactly what I had planned for Day 1 of the sprint but I will take it!
Local reports are saying we should expect power back by —— Wednesday. Oh well, we press on!
I’ll be back by end of day tomorrow with another recap that will hopefully look a bit more presentable.
‘Till next time.
Typing by candlelight sounds like some people's life goals. Respect.
That's PERFECTLY presentable, Frank. Think how you'd feel right now if you hadn't put down 1700 words. :-)
